TRAINING LIFTING INSPECTOR
LIFTING INSPECTOR TRAINING OVERVIEW
This course is designed to provide personnel with the knowledge to
undertake lifting operations. This course is intended for: riggers,
construction, maintenance and mechanical technicians/supervisors and
crane operators.
LIFTING INSPECTOR TRAINING OBJECTIVES
To ensure all personnel involved in rigging and slinging operations
e.g. riggers, maintenance personnel/supervisors, etc. have an
understanding of the legal requirements pertaining to rigging
operations, the requirements for pre-use inspection and discard
criteria of lifting equipment, the safe working procedures to ensure
delegates can use lifting equipment safely and not exceed the load
limit imposed on them
LIFTING INSPECTOR TRAINING CONTENTS
1. Introduction of LOLER, PUWER and HASWA legislation
2. Introduction of Lifting accessories and all commonly used
equipment associated with rigging operations
3. Inspection and correct use trifors, chain blocks, pull lifts, beam
clamps, wire rope inspection
4. Basic Rigger and Signal person
5. Rigging Gear Inspection
6. Intermedite Rigging
7. Advanced Rigging
8. Critical Lift Planning
9. Examination of Rigging Equipment
- Utilising Recommend Rigging methods to move various items
